Pulisic reaches first double figures

The United States midfielder’s early goal earned him his 10th goal in the Italian league.

Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leão also contributed against Lecce.

Pulisic’s previous career-best was nine goals back in the 2019-20 English Premier League season for Chelsea.

“Attitude is fantastic”

AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli had nothing but praise for the 25-year-old.

“I knew Pulisic’s quality, but when we talked on a video call, I sensed something very positive. He was very eager, curious, interested in everything I had to say,” Pioli told DAZN.

“He doesn’t talk very much, but it’s the attitude that shines through from a person. His attitude is fantastic; he is an exemplary professional and hard worker who will help the team to get stronger.”

Pulisic joined the Rossoneri club last summer after a disappointing four-year stint at Chelsea.

Since arriving in Italy, Pulisic has played an integral part in Pioli’s scheme.

AC Milan now sits in second place behind Serie A leader Inter Milan with an 11-point gap.
