Controversial win

The match ended with eight men and the American involved in two of the three incidents that led to the red cards.

In the 67th minute, Luca Pellegrini received two quick yellows for fouls on Pulisic.

Matteo Guendouzi was then issued a straight red in stoppage time for his reaction to the Pulisic foul.

As a result, Pulisic received vile death threats from his social media post.

“Die of cancer you piece of sh*t, maybe you’ll explode with your family.”

“I don’t wish you to die, but instead suffer slowly every day.”

“You should spend all your money on medicine, your mother is dead”.

The Rossoneri squad banded together to show their support to the United States team captain.

“Puliiiii I am your security,” said AC Milan teammate Theo Hernandez.

AC Milan’s Twitter account also posted: “By your side, @pulisic!”

Milan’s key winger

Pulisic joined Milan from Chelsea last summer and has proven to be a key piece of Stefano Pioli’s side
