Morata head injury
The Spain captain apparently clashed heads with one of his teammates in an aerial collision on Thursday.
Reports stated that the 32-year-old had to go the hospital in the Legnano district of Milan to undergo scans on his head.
Fortunately, ESPN reported that the former Atletico Madrid striker hasn’t suffered “a serious injury.”
“Alvaro is feeling better”
The Rossoneri club confirmed the incident, saying Morata sustained a “serious cranial trauma.”
“Following a clash this morning in training Morata suffered serious cranial trauma,” Milan said in a statement.
“He was rushed to hospital where an MRI scan returned negative results. Alvaro is feeling better and will remain under observation at the hospital to comply with the protocol for similar cases.”
As a result, Morata will miss the Rossoneri’s trip to Cagliari on Sunday.
The Spain international joined Milan from Atletico Madrid in July for a fee of £10.9million.
He served as a team captain in Spain’s EURO 2024 championship run.
Morata started and scored in the Italian side’s 3-1 Champions League win at Real Madrid on Tuesday.
Spain coach Luis de la Fuente will announce his squad on Friday for the upcoming UEFA Nations League games.
The Spaniards will face Denmark on November 15 and against Switzerland on November 18.
