Genoa vs AC Milan – Prediction
AC Milan return to the domestic, visiting Genoa this weekend, sitting second in the Serie A standings and aiming for the fourth league win in a row.
After their second straight goalless draw in the UEFA Champions League group stage, Milan must tackle an improving home side at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Genoa vs AC Milan – Preview
Rossoneri have been showing two opposite faces this season, if only about results. While Milan is flying high in the Italian top flight, what they did in Europe must be more convincing.
With their only loss a 5-1 derby hammering by Inter, the Rossoneri have already accrued 18 points in Serie A. Stefano Pioli’s side has their third-best total at this stage during the 21st century, also enough to join their city rivals at the top of the table.
Since February, each of their five league defeats have come as the away side. However, they can now travel to Marassi with an excellent recent record against Genoa behind them: Milan have won four of their last five league games against the Grifone at Stadio Ferraris.
Indeed, Genoa’s last home win versus this week’s visitors came back in October 2016. Before suffering relegation a couple of years ago, the Ligurian team had lost seven of the clubs’ previous nine Serie A meetings, winning just one.
Having already upset Lazio and Roma, though, the promoted side will seek more significant scalps along the way – and Milan are among the biggest of all.
Current forms (Serie A 2023/24)
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is still unavailable, along side is Rade Krunic, Milan have almost everybody else in good shape.
Genoa will host Milan without Kevin Strootman and Milan Badelj for injuries.

Genoa 1-2 Milan: Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud are playing well, and it’s hard for the host’s defense to stop Milan’s strikers from scoring.
