Gimenez, Felix join AC Milan
Gimenez, 29, won the Eredivisie title in 2022-23, and will wear the No. 7 shirt at Milan.
Before heading to San Siro, the Mexico international was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest last summer.
AC Milan club advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic said he is pleased to have Gimenez signed to the club.
“Santiago Gimenez is a strong as Ibra, of a high level,” Ibrahimovic told Sky Italia.
“We had monitored Gimenez for many months and we tried to sign Gimenez in July but in the summer it was a different situation. We have made a great signing — we are ready for him and he’s ready. He’s very eager to start.”
Meanwhile, AC Milan has reached a verbal agreement with Chelsea to Felix on loan for the rest of the season.
Chelsea will receive a £5m loan fee, and Milan will cover the Portuguese forward’s wages in full.
Felix becomes the second player to arrive on loan after Milan signed Kyle Walker on loan from Manchester City until the end of the 2024-25 season.
Morata departs AC Milan
Meanwhile, AC Milan striker ÁAvaro Morata has joined Galatasaray on a one-year loan.
The Turkish giants hold an option to extend the deal for six months or sign the Spain captain permanently next year.
“Alvaro is a great person and a great player,” Ibrahimovic said.
“I wish him the best because he deserves it. Certain situations for different reasons it doesn’t click. In football it happens.”
