Stefano Pioli will be battling in an inarguably tricky group as they are in group F, including Ligue 1 champions PSG, Bundesliga runner-up Dortmund and first-timer in two decades, Newcastle.

It will be a sensational return for Sandro Tonali, who made the move to the English Premier League side Newcastle in the Summer transfer window.

With three teams being former finalists in the competition and Newcastle performing admirably well after the takeover, Group F could be the ‘Group of Death’ in the 2023 edition of the UEFA Champions League.

While PSG, Milan, and Dortmund have clashed multiple times in Europe’s competition, Newcastle are in a tough luck draw when they will feature in the tournament for the first time in 20 years.

Last season, Milan were drawn into UCL’s Group E, where they finished second behind Chelsea and eventually went to the semifinals. Milan battled RB Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb, who were obviously less tough than the likes of Dortmund or Newcastle, PSG this season.

Other Group Draw results

Serie A’s champions and Milan’s rivals, Napoli, have a challenging draw, having sat in Group C with Record 14-times winners Real Madrid, Braga and Union Berlin.

German heavyweights Bayern Munich take on Manchester United, FC Copenhagen, and Galatasaray in Group A.

United and Bayern had met 11 times in the Champions League, with perhaps their most memorable clash coming in the 1999 final when the English side emerged victorious to complete the treble.
