AC Milan’s Trophy Cabinet 

Associazione Calcio Milan is based on its namesake city which is the capital of the Lombardy.  They have played in all but two seasons in the top flight of Italian football. 

Since its establishment, the Rossoneri has had an enormous trophy cabinet, a proof of their elite status not just in the Italian game, but also in Europe and around the world. 

Here is the breakdown of their 49 official trophies that they have won.  

 
DOMESTIC 

SERIE A – 19 (1901, 1906, 1907, 1950–51, 1954–55, 1956–57, 1958–59, 1961–62, 1967–68, 1978–79, 1987–88, 1991–92, 1992–93, 1993–94, 1995–96, 1998–99, 2003–04, 2010–11, 2021–22)

  • Milan had an impressive record of winning the Scudetto at least once in every decade for each of the past eight decades, which few clubs can boast. Overall, they are tied with rivals Inter for second most Scudetti, with Juventus leading the way with 36. 
  • Fabio Capello’s three-peat was notable for undefeated reasons: his debut campaign was the first since Pro Vercelli in in 1912-13 to win the Serie A by going unbeaten in 34 matches, extending the national record to 58 up to the following season en route to their three-peat. 

COPPA ITALIA – 5 (1967, 1972, 1973, 1977, 2003) 

  • Three of which came from Nereo Rocco, after Arturo Silvestri gave them their maiden title in 1967 by squeaking past Padova in the final. 
  • Carlo Ancelotti won the most recent in 2003, in which they defeated Roma in a two-legged final. 

SUPERCOPPA ITALIANA – 7 (1988, 1992, 1993, 1994, 2004, 2011, 2016) 

  • Milan won their first six in the preseason spectacle as the holders of the Scudetto the previous term. 
  • Their most recent came as last season’s Coppa finalists, with Juve completing the double. They won on penalties in Qatar. 

INTERNATIONAL 

EUROPEAN CUP/UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – 7 (1963, 1969, 1989, 1990, 1994, 2003, 2007)

  • Milan was a distant second to Spain’s Real Madrid, who had twice the haul as the Rossoneri. 
  • Nereo Rocco, Arrigo Sacchi and Carlo Ancelotti have won the Old Big Ears twice while at the San Siro. 

EUROPEAN CUP WINNERS’ CUP – 2 (1967–68, 1972–73)

  • Rocco’s winning profile includes a pair of these, having won the Coppa the last term. 
  • That means Milan needed the UEFA Cup to complete the UEFA Plaque, in which it was bestowed to five clubs, including their rivals from Turin. 

EUROPEAN CUP WINNERS’ CUP – 2 (1967–68, 1972–73 

  • Rocco’s winning profile including a pair of these, having won the Coppa the last term. 
  • That means Milan needed the UEFA Cup to complete the UEFA Plaque, in which it was bestowed to five clubs, including their rivals from Turin. 

 
UEFA SUPER CUP – 5   1989, 1990, 1994, 2003, 2007 

  • All of their wins came as Champions League winners from last season 

Sacchi and Ancelotti are tied with two apiece. 
 

  • They have entered and won the tournament as European Cup/Champions League winners 
  • Also lost the final four times.
