The Serbian is a project for Stefano Pioli, as he is touted to be their striker-in-waiting, being the next in line to succeed Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic up front. Apart from being the target man, he can play on the right wing. 

With a height of 192 cm (6 ft, 4 in), Lazetić will have a massive upside and youth to rely on, having traded one red shirt to another as he continues his development at the San Siro. 

He began his career with his hometown club and Serbian powerhouse Red Star Belgrade, where he debuted on November 29, 2020, in a home league match aged 16. Lazetić have been loaned to second tier Grafičar for the rest of the campaign as the capital side won their 33^rd title. 

The following season saw him promoted full-time to Red Star’s first team, with appearances on their U19 team on the side. He played 16 times (started twice) in league play, scoring just once before he joined Milan on the January window on a €4 million deal. 

Lazetić retains his role at the San Siro, as he juggled first-team duties with appearances for their Primavera side, before making his senior debut in a Coppa Italia semifinal, playing just four minutes in a derby defeat at the hands of Inter in the second leg. 

His domestic campaign ended in a peculiar way, winning a pair of league titles in the same season with Red Star and AC Milan. 

Apart from it, Lazetić was the target man in the Serbian U19 squad in the Euro 2022 campaign. However, they missed the U20 World Cup qualification as they finished bottom of their group in Slovakia, with him scoring twice.
